DIFFERENCES EFFECT OF PLYOMETRICS TRAINING AND BODY FLEXIBILITY TO LONG JUMP ACHIEVEMENT

ABSTRACT
RISMANTO: DIFFERENCES EFFECT OF PLYOMETRICS TRAINING AND
BODY FLEXIBILITY TO LONG JUMP ACHIEVEMENT (Experimental study
Training Front Cone Hops and Multiple Box-to-Box jumps at the male class VIII
students of SMP Negeri 3 Depok Sleman). Courses of Sport Science Postgraduate
Program Sebelas Maret University of Surakarta in 2010. THESIS.
The aims of this research is to know (1) differences effect between the
plyometrics training of Front Cone Hops and Multiple Box-to-Box jumps to
student long jump achievement of SMP, (2) difference of long jump achievement
between student of SMP owning body flexibility low and high, (3) interaction
effect between plyometrics training and body flexibility to long jump achievement
of SMP students.
This research was an experimental research with a plan " factorial 2x2"
The research sample was 40 from 78 students of male class of VIII SMP Negeri 3
Depok Sleman academic year 2009/2010, taken by purposive random sampling in
terms of male sex, interested in the long jump exercise, healthy body and soul,
readying to become research sampel, owning good elementary motion. Technique
data collecting used measurement and test that was in the form of sit and reach
test for the data of body flexibility and the tes hang style of long jump for the data
of achievement of long jump. Data analysis technique used test of Anava Two
Way with level of signifikansi 5%. While the normality test using Anderson-
Darling statistics, homogenity of varians test using the standard formula Bartlett
test with level of signifikansi = 0.05.
The results of this research show that (1) There is differences effect
between the training of plyometric Front Cone Hops and Multiple Box-to-Box
jumps to long jump achievement was significantly (F0 = 15.38> F.05: 1.36 = 4.13
and p-value 0.000 <0.05), (2) There is difference of long jump achievement which
is significant between the student owning body flexibility high and low (F0 =
5.54> F.05: 1.36 = 4.13 and p-value 0.024 <0.05). (3) There is interaction effect
which is significant between plyometrics training and body flexibility to long
jump achievement (F0 = 258.62> F.05: 1.36 = 4.13 and p-value 0.000 <0.05).
